(October 30, 2017) Three current Newton City Councilors today endorsed Brenda Noel, candidate for Ward 6 City Councilor. In endorsing Noel, the councilors — Susan Albright, Deb Crossley, and Alison Leary — praised her experience, intelligence, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
“Brenda has demonstrated experience in advocacy for those in need and leadership in non-profit financial management to be an excellent Ward 6 Ward Councilor,” said Susan Albright, Councilor At-Large, Ward 2. “She is committed to our community and Newton as evidenced by her working for a local non-profit and her volunteer activities in her children's schools. Brenda is a thoughtful, intelligent, creative problem-solver and will bring these skills to address Newton's complex challenges. I'm pleased to endorse Brenda, and I look forward to working with her on the Council.”
“We are lucky to have Brenda running for City Council,” said Alison Leary, Councilor, Ward 1. “I have been impressed with her grasp of the issues, her energy, passion, and drive. Brenda is ready to roll up her sleeves and get to work.
“Brenda Noel has that rare mix of compassion, talent, integrity and discipline that I look for in a city leader,” stated Deb Crossley, Councilor At-Large, Ward 5 “Brenda's positive, thoughtful message reveals an open-minded, collaborative, and engaged approach to tackling complex issues. Her work and life history demonstrates passion and commitment to improving the lives of people. To help secure a future that preserves Newton as a great place to live for everyone, I urge you to cast your vote for Brenda Noel.”
“I’m honored to be endorsed by Councilors Albright, Crossley, and Leary,” said Noel. “They know what it takes to be an effective Councilor and I am inspired by their work. I look forward to being able to work with them and the entire City Council on policies and initiatives that improve the lives of people in Ward 6 and throughout the City of Newton.”
