Voter Resources

Plan now to be sure you're able to vote on Election Day, Tuesday, November 7. Newton also has a preliminary election on September 12.

You can register online if you have a valid driver’s license or identification card from the MA Registry of Motor Vehicles. Or you can register in person at the City Clerk’s Office at Newton City Hall.

Request an Absentee Ballot

You - or a family member - can request an absentee ballot in person at City Hall or by downloading an application from the City Clerk's website. Your completed ballot can returned by mail or in person until noon the day before the election.

Find Where to Vote

Not sure of your voting location? The Mass. Secretary of State has an easy, online form to find your voting location, plus your ward and precinct. If you're in Newton's Ward 6 -- voting at Bowen or Mason-Rice School, the Hyde Center, or Weeks House -- Brenda Noel will be on the ballot!
